What is The Moth?
The Moth is an acclaimed nonprofit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. Through its ongoing programs - The Moth Mainstage, The Moth StorySLAMs, MothSHOP Community Education Program and MothSHOP Corporate - The Moth has presented more than three thousand stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. The Moth podcast is downloaded more than one million times a month, and the sixth season of the Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour, produced by Jay Allison and presented by PRX, The Public Radio Exchange, is airing now on radio stations nationwide. There are two ways! If you’re near New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Pittsburgh, or Louisville come to one of our StorySLAMs. Otherwise, you can always call our pitch hotline at 1-877-799-MOTH (1-877-799-6684) or record your one-minute pitch online!
