We’re so excited that we can finally announce this - we have a book coming out! The galleys just came in today and look amazing.

Bigger announcement and Amazon link coming soon, but here are the Cliff Notes:

It’s coming out September 3rd;
There’s 50 stories told on our stage, transcribed and edited for your reading pleasure;
Plus introductions by Adam Gopnik, George Dawes Green and The Moth’s artistic director, Catherine Burns.

There’s actually a couple of different ways! You’re welcome to come put your name in the hat at one of our open-mic StorySLAMs across the country - we randomly pick ten storytellers throughout the evening to come up on stage and share their stories.

You’re also welcome to use our pitch line if you’d like to tell a story on The Moth Mainstage, our curated and directed series.

The Moth Ball may be over, but the auction is still going on! Today, ROBOTS!

These three extraordinary sculptures from renowned French sculptor Thierry Deroche are a special opportunity to purchase the work of one of Paris’ most inventive artists, whose works have been exhibited in galleries across France.

A former financial executive for important French and American groups, Thierry Deroche’s double life started out in a peculiar Parisian suburb: Dana, a place where human life is practically absent. A place where machinery is omnipresent, almost autonomous.

A few years ago, working as a cost controller in a factory producing automotive pieces, Thierry came across his first call for artistic creation: “My prefab office was at the center of a warehouse. Each morning, I had to go through the central path with shrill noises it was thrilling!” He started collecting pieces, most of all wasted industrial materials, transforming them into robotic sculptures. Pots, industrial tubes, flexible or sheath, find an organic aspect in Thierry’s works.

These three unique robots will take pride of place in your home.

It’s Moth Ball Auction time! Every day we’re featuring something cool that you can bid on. Today, resident awesome dude and storyteller Peter Aguero will tell you a bed time story.

Peter Aguero is a force of nature. A regular host and storyteller at The Moth, he is also lead singer of the BTK band, New York’s greatest improvised storytelling rock band.

Peter will visit the lucky auction winner, or one of their loved ones, armed with milk, cookies and a teddy bear, and tell them a bedtime story. Sweet dreams!

There’s even cookies? This is another one of those “wish we could bid on it” items…
